Learned about Lightning Network today. Mind blown.
I finally looked into how the Lightning Network works, and holy shit it's a game changer (on top the already existing game changer, btc). Zero fee transactions or extremely low fee transactions (depending on the number of hops in the payment path). Even 1 or 10 sat tx for 0 fee, if you have a payment channel open with the node you're paying. If you're interested in learning about Lightning, these videos are pretty good: 402 Payment Required: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmoQ11MXEmajsUw95Fq6fHzXnVmoMPIeV We know Btc is going to dominate as a store of value, but Lightning is going dominate as a scalable payment network This will put so much pressure on Visa, Cirrus, Paypal, Venmo, etc after it gets more adoption. In the very near future, electronic payment companies & banks will need to "pivot to a business model of creating value", instead of just living off rents from their legacy banking infrastructure.

I can't believe I have been in this space from 2017 and didn't bother to delve deeper into the lightening network. The fud from fake satoshi and clueless YouTubers at the time made me not look so much into it even after turning into a Maxi But man this feels like discovering Bitcoin again in its early years. The idea and technology behind LN is just beyond genius I felt really bullish about the LN which made me wonder which token should I buy now? Turns out it was just good old Sats Keep staking sats and learn about LN before the majority does A Technical Introduction To The Lightning Network by Andreas Antonopoulos
I have invested a large amount in BTC and lately the trend is very unpredictable. I saw that last week it increased significantly but I didn’t withdraw thinking it will increase more. Did I make the wrong choice? I see that the BTC is now decreasing. PS Dont hate on me im just a beginner— instead please enlighten me, i appreciate you all!
What will become of your BTC when you just hodl until it becomes a daily transactional currency?
This is just a hypothetical question, say the world has completely eliminated the need for fiat and is now using solely cryptocurrency. For example right now, you have 1 BTC = 11k USD(that is a big amount), What will we be using to determine the value of that 1 BTC???
A new batch of 600 bitcoin stickers is ready to hit the streets of Tel Aviv! Thanks Phneep and Lucho Poletti for the incredible artwork and the permission to print it! And to our Bitcoin Embassy community volunteer that did all the manual scissors work :)
Sometimes it is easy to get lost in the gains we've been making, but lets not forget to thank satoshi. Imagine a world were we had no Bitcoin, how would we have ever been enable to fight the feds actions? The people have a tool to fight back now, this is something we've never had in history. Its time to kill the greed from the people in power.
I want to make a transfer, however, I would like to stay as anonymous as possible. I always thought that bitcoin was pretty much as anonymous as you could get but I recently found out that all transactions are stored publicly and you can see a wallet’s history. If I’m going to use my debit card to buy the bitcoin, would it not mean that if someone had the intent to trace, they could still follow it back to me? If that’s the case should I not just use WU for ease and speed? I know this post is a bit weird but I’m just being paranoid and trying to foresee everything I can. Thanks
Hey guys, What's the best and safest way to gift bitcoin to someone who doesn't have a wallet yet. I was thinking about buying a ledger wallet and sending the bitcoins there and then gift the ledger. But that would mean the wallet is not that safe as i because i would have set it up for the person. Even though it's not in my intention to access the wallet once i gift it. Is there a way to just give a brand new ledger and maybe some way of automatically getting the bitcoin once the wallet is set up? or maybe a smart contract kind of stuff?
