1 When paying via PayPal, I can only send payments via Goods and Services, thus you will be charged a fee. If you'd rather not face this fee there are plenty of alternatives. 2 Skrill charges an upload fee and transaction fee, both of which will be taken from the payment. 3 Larger denominated gift cards preferred. 4 PayPal is the only payment option. 5 I can't send less than $10 in crypto per Coinbase's rules.

What I don’t buy:

  • Bass Pro Shop
  • Fanatics
  • Google Play
  • Hilton Honors
  • iTunes from anywhere but the US
  • Spotify
  • Steam
  • old navy/gap/banana republic
  • Hot Topic

I will buy gift cards in almost any denomination, although if you are offering an item worth $100 or more we will need mod approval. I will not trade Bitcoin for cash, or do any other cash for cash trade, as that would violate rule 6, and I don't sell gift cards. This is a buying post, not a selling one. Any fees are built into the price.

Scams where compromised accounts are used to leverage reputation to scam an unsuspecting user, used to steal codes during the middle of the trade, and steal unused gift cards the victim was saving for later are increasingly commonplace. I AM A LEGIT BUYER SELL ME ACCOUNTS READ TEXT

Hello, I am trying to build credibility within this community. I have done one transaction so far and have had people attempt to scam me multiple times. I am here to buy accounts. The people who scam on here are scum of this planet who deserve nothing less than to have the shit kicked out of them(and I mean it). I am here to buy LEGITIMATELY do not waste my time. I am only purchasing through PayPal business to COVER MYSELF. You have absolutely no reason to trust me and I only have one person who can vouch that I am not a scammer. I simply want to give people what they want which would be a satisfactory service. If you are a scammer then just let it be known now that I am not someone to fuck with. I will not pay with BITCOIN XBOX CARDS STEAM GIFT CARDS OR PSN CARDS. Only PayPal business. If this is too much of an inconvenience then do not even waste your time trying to convince me to do F&F. I won’t budge. If you are a serious seller I hope to do business with you. Thank you.

How to pay for Air Tickets, Netflix, Steam, VPN, and other services using Bitcoin in Lebanon

There has been an increase in interest in Bitcoin usage, more people are realizing the freedom Bitcoin can provide to current limitations, and many people are asking what can we use Bitcoin for other than storing value from ever dropping local currency, on top of it it’s getting harder to pay for online services, hosts, vpns, netflix and if you are running a small business in resale you are facing a lot of challenges as well.
Many popular websites are already accepting direct payments in Bitcoin, others you will need to go through a payment processor or by buying gift cards.
Using Bitrefill or Cryptorefills you will be able to purchase a digital gift card that can be redeemed in your account with selected denomination. With these gift card providers now you will be able to recharge your Netflix, Amazon, Apple account, Google Play, Spotify, Steam, PSN, PUBG and many many other services.

Here is a small list i prepared of website that accept Bitcoin directly :

Here is a link to a bigger list :

As a bonus for those that still have some kind of international limit left, you can sign up at Purse purse(dot) io through which you will be able to fulfill orders of other people using your Amazon balance for instance in return for Bitcoin! You can use your $30 limit for example to top-up your balance in Amazon, and fill an order to be delivered to someone's doorstep and you will be paid in Bitcoin. Everything is tracked by Purse (dot) io therefore no worries of sending an item without getting your Bitcoin, only down side that at the beginning you will pay an extra premium for your Bitcoin.

Sell fake event tickets. Won’t work for big festivals that require a real ticket (Glastonbury, Reading, etc.) and imagine things like coachela in the US won’t work either.
Will ONLY work for events using E-Tickets (small - medium sized events)
1a. Buy a LEGIT ticket from the website 1b. Sell LEGIT ticket for a bit of a loss immediately, or wait until tickets are sold out for profit
  1. With a PDF editor such as adobe, change all details on the e-ticket (name, address, last 4 digits of card paid with, time and date ticket was purchased, BARCODE AND QR CODE - you can find barcode and QR code makers on google, just make it look similar in size
!!! MAKE SURE YOU ESPECIALLY CHANGE BARCODE AND QR CODE AS THIS CAN EASILY LINK IT BACK TO YOU. NAME, ADDRESS AND CARD DETAILS ALSO EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO CHANGE !!!
  1. Now go on to Facebook and go into various selling groups, marketplace etc and search for various things such as ‘ID’ ‘lost ID’ ‘driving licence’ etc. Do this until you find a picture of an ID. Screen shot that.
4a. Search ‘u account’ (for UK users [might work for other countries still]) or any website that lets you get a virtual bank account and make an account with REAL details of someone else’s you found from the ID on Facebook. You won’t receive the card but you’ll have bank account info (account number and sort code). 4b. Now make a NEW Paypal account, making sure you use the details from the found ID (name, address, D.o.B, etc.). Add the account number and sort code to link this to a bank. Also, get a pay as you go sim and a shitty phone to verify your number on Paypal (helps get money out quicker).
!!! it is VITAL you use NAME AND ADDRESS AND DATE OF BIRTH on the ID so when Paypal ask for an ID you can send that same picture!!!
  1. Once E-ticket is edited, make a Facebook account with the NEW name on the ticket. Find a real fb account and use their pictures and lock the FB account down so people can’t see friends etc. Make sure to add a real school, job etc on profile and share loads of stuff (videos etc) to fill your profile.
  2. Once FB profile is made, join groups relating to the targeted event. Wait until event is close or tickets sold out and then start selling the tickets...post you have tickets until the first person buys it, then to avoid suspicion, don’t post again, but just private message anyone looking for a ticket and sell it to them
  3. Make sure when receiving money, get them to use friends and family (if they ask why, say you don’t want fees and to have to wait for the money) and if they don’t want to do it, don’t seem desperate, just say ‘ok cool no worries, hope you find a ticket’ ... some will just buy it, or come back after couple days
  4. With your PayPal funds... you’re gonna wanna buy virtual items such as PSN Cards, XBOX cards, steam keys etc. Then sell them on eBay or wherever on your real account and get the funds OR buy bitcoin and cashout to one of the machines in some shopping areas to receive cash.
PRO TIP - use same edited e-ticket for another event, just change event name to save time!

  • iTunes from anywhere but the US
  • Google Play from anywhere but the US
  • Starbucks
  • Hilton Honors
  • Spotify
  • old navy/gap/banana republic
  • Hot Topic
  • PSN Canada or UK
  • Xbox Canada or UK
I will buy gift cards in almost any denomination, although if you are offering an item worth $100 or more we will need mod approval. I will not trade Bitcoin for cash, or do any other cash for cash trade, as that would violate rule 6, and I don't sell gift cards. This is a buying post, not a selling one. Any fees are built into the price.
Here are my GCX Rep profiles with 932 trades worth more than $60,000:
Important: before you send your codes please make sure your account is secure (if your password is twelve characters or less it's best to assume your account has already been compromised; your password should be eight randomly selected words, see 1 and 2). Scams where compromised accounts are used to leverage reputation to scam an unsuspecting user, used to steal codes during the middle of the trade, and steal unused gift cards the victim was saving for later are increasingly commonplace. If you have any concerns as to your account's security, please reset your password now and force logout of all sessions. Thanks

They do require some sensitive information from you for tax purposes. Not everyone gets approved to work here, and some people will be approved months or years after being rejected. — Payment Proof.

• Only do HITs that pay at least 10¢/minute. This gives you a rate of $6/hour. Mturk crowd forum and /hitsworthturkingfor are good places to check for higher paying HITs.
• It is better to return a HIT than to submit to if you are unsure whether the requester will approve it. Returning a HIT will not negatively affect you, but a rejection will.
Scripts are allowed and encouraged. Checked /mturk for more tips and suggestions.

Moderated tests start at $30 per test, and usually require you to have a webcam. Payment arrives via PayPal exactly 7 days after your test is completed. — Payment Proof.
*The site is International, but most earning opportunities are for US, UK, CA and AU.
↪ Age minimum: 18

↪ Payout: [Minimum: None] PayPal
↪ Referral Incentive: None.

As of 05/18/20 (not sure how long it will last) new users who sign up with the link above get a $7-$14(varies per person) bonus if they buy at least $10 worth of gas.
TIPS:
‌• You must make your purchase with a debit or credit card. Cash, prepaid cards, gift cards, and EBT are not eligible forms of payment.

Sites to Avoid: Definitely DO NOT post these.

Earnsanity — Shady owner, sketchy site. Held giveaway and then refunded the prizes after it was over. History of scamming many others. AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED.
Paidverts — Shady owner, sketchy site. Keeps doing debt swaps (cash to BAP). Do not post.
Neobux — It isn’t really a scam, but they operate as a pyramid scheme. There’s money to be made online, but it’s definitely not there.
MarketGlory — It does pay out, but the pay is absolutely ridiculous. The only way to make a decent amount of money is to have a lot of referrals, and referral whoring on this subreddit WILL result in a permanent ban.
MindSumo — Not actually a /beermoney site. It’s only spam in this sub.
G2A — Scam/sells stolen keys.
Robinhood — This is spammed on our sub constantly.
Quickthoughts — Many reports of people being banned when trying to withdraw as of 10/2018. Do your due diligence before possibly wasting your time on this app.
Sites with $100+ minimum — These sites usually offer higher than normal payments for simple tasks, with a high minimum to cash out. They are always scams.
Generic news sites that pay you ridiculous amounts to read an article (two euros??) — Common sense should take care of this, but in case it doesn’t, it’s always a scam. The site is usually hosted somewhere in Eastern Europe, and you will never get paid.
Free bitcoin sites/"faucets" (THIS INCLUDES QOINPRO) — This is not referring to those video-viewing/task sites (although they’re still paying fragments of a penny). I’m talking about sites that give you 0.000001BTC to fill a captcha (freebitco.in, dailybitcoins). Admittedly many beermoney sites pay low, but don’t even bother with these.
Also: Bitcoin mining is NO LONGER PROFITABLE. If you're really so keen on getting bitcoins, doing so through an exchange is your best option.
Here are a few more scam sites and sketchy sites.

Please note that presence on this post does not imply that /beermoney or its moderators endorse the site or their views, actions, or policies. This list simply contains sites that are used by a large number of our users or are frequently mentioned on our subreddit.
We frequently monitor data from all the sites on this list from various sources to ensure that users are able and interested in utilizing them and if they do, that they also are getting paid promptly and fairly for all work they do. We make adjustments to this list and the order of sites accordingly based on all the data we receive.

Please make sure you follow the Rules of our subreddit and if you ever have any questions about anything beermoney related, please take a look at our extensive FAQ which should answer almost any question you might have.

Bitcoin Superstore NANO Purchase Via Amazon: Results and Review

HOW IT WORKS
You go to almost any online retailer, as long as they dont charge membership fees. You copy 3 things into a form on the BSS website: Title of product you want to buy, url of product page, price of product + shipping costs. BSS will calculate the sales tax for you and add their own 2% service fee. Give them your shipping address, and use brainblocks on their website to make the transaction.

I bought a PSN PS+ subscription digital renewal code from amazon. Amazon sends these over email, so in the note for the purchase on the BSS site I included my email for them to send me the code. I had a little trouble using brainblocks at first but overall the purchase was easy to complete and I got a confirmation email immediately. I received an email containing my digital gift card code 45 minutes later, which I was able to use to extend my subscription and get back to playing online with friends. I made the purchase around 12:45 AM Central US time.
FEES?
The item I bought was $9.99 USD. They applied an estimated USA sales tax to make my purchase 10.61, which would have normally been added on Amazon or on any other purchase I make. BSS charges a service fee of 2% of the subtotal after tax. My service fee was around 20 cents.
MY OPINION
Once I read the faq, the website was easy to use. Normally I could have avoided the 20 cent charge easily by using a debit card, but in this instance I could not use my card due to it being frozen for "suspicious activity." Under these circumstances, BSS was the fastest/easiest way to make my PSN subscription active. I will use the website again, likely for smaller purchases during times when I cannot or do not wish to use USD. If my bank still hasn't fixed my card by tomorrow then I will probably use the service to buy a another digital gift card code for a restaurant I'm going to tomorrow.
I hope this review gave you a clearer idea of how to use Bitcoin Superstore, let me know if you have any questions about my experience.

[MOD] Proper Title Format and Reminder on Buying/Selling Safely - How to Avoid Scams

We've noticed a decline (again) in proper title formatting and an uptick in many rules just being ignored. In order to maintain the quality of life for both the users and mods, we're going to an active moderation stance on reviewing posts. A mod will reply on your thread confirming removal due to the post title and we will ask that you repost your thread with the proper title format.
All posts must have a country code regardless of whether it's a digital sale or physical sale.
The proper title format is as follows:
[Country Abbreviation Goes Here] [H] Games [W] PayPal / Amazon
or if you're looking to buy something
[Country Abbreviation Goes Here] [H] PayPal [W] Games, Console, Accessories, etc.
For example, if you're located in Canada, you would use [CAN]. If you are located in the United States, you would use [USA].So on and so forth.
If you want to do a local transaction, you can include your exact state or providence in your post text.
[H] = Have [W] = Want

TIPS FOR SAFE SELLING

We are going to try to point out some tell-tale signs of the most Common Scams so you can hopefully identify them and walk away before being taken advantage of!

IF IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE - IT PROBABLY IS.

Is someone offering you an AMAZING deal mere seconds after you posted your thread?!?
HIT PAUSE!!
DON'T RUSH to accept your first offer. Slow down, take a deep breathe.
TAKE YOUR TIME! Chances are that if you simply give your thread a few hours, you will get several offers!
Then you can research, investigate and EVENTUALLY choose who you want to swap with, sell to or buy from.

DIGITAL CODES ARE HIGH RISK ITEMS...

Once redeemed, you cannot get back your Digital Code, PSN/XBL credit, or your Amazon Gift Card.
If you give one out and it gets redeemed, it's gone forever... so don't rush into a deal.

BEFORE SWAPPING... GET TO KNOW YOUR PARTNER

FIRST ask yourself...
Where did the offer come from?!
Was it made to me in my Public Trade Thread? [COOL]
Or was it sent directly to me in a PM? [NOT COOL]

REMEMBER: Banned users can still send you PM's!

  • You should always require a comment in your thread before swapping with ANYONE.
  • It doesn't matter how much rep they have, how old their account is, or how much karma they have.
  • No comment in your Thread -- NO DEALS.
  • Scammers/banned users can still browse the forums and send PM's but they cannot post in threads.
  • We can't double-ban users who are already banned.
  • PLEASE STOP negotiating through PM's with banned users! This happens FAR TOO OFTEN.
Reminder: For a deal to count towards Flair, we REQUIRE a comment from your partner in your thread... and everyone wants flair... right?! If you accept an offer via a PM it can never count towards flair.
TL;DR: If you accept offers in Private Messages you're going to get scammed. Enough already.
NEXT...ask youself...
How old is their account?
  • Are you, as the OP, checking the Account Age of the people sending you offers?
Do they have Flair, Completed Trades, an /MushroomKingdom Thread, or Rep Elsewhere??
  • When checking their Rep are you checking that the user is actually linking THEIR OWN REP?
  • Check the spelling and account age on the Rep page (/MushroomKingdom thread, etc)
  • Compare it to the spelling and account age of the user commenting in your thread. Are they the same?
  • Scammers may create accounts with similar looking names to trick you into thinking they have "rep".
  • Is the user linking to 'rep' on /Mushroomkingdom or are they using a personal subreddit?
  • We will NEVER vet trades on someone's personal subreddit.
  • If they link you to a personal subreddit for 'rep' - that is an immediate red flag.
What other subreddits do they post on?
  • Are they an obnoxious human being? Do they troll Subs or users in other Subs?
  • Are they only posting in giveaway threads and asking for freebies?
  • Have you used the Universal Scammer List search option? It takes a minute or two to search and give you an update on when, where and why they were banned.
  • Do they have an old account, but no posts, comments, or submission history AT ALL?!? (HUGE red flag)

PAYPAL GIFT (Friends/Family) V. GOODS & SERVICES

  • If you pay someone via PayPal, understand the risks and differences between the two types of payments.
  • There is a 3% fee for payments sent as goods/services but it allows you to initiate a claim if there is a problem.
  • If you send payment as a gift (F&F), you CANNOT initiate a claim to dispute the charges.
  • As a buyer spending an extra 3% for your item shouldn't add more than $1-2 to the cost of your item.
  • As a seller you could just build that cost into the price of your item. You can not, as per PayPals terms of service, ask the buyer to "cover fees" out right.
  • Also, as a seller, you have the Invoice option which provides sellers protection. Please review how to properly send an invoice over at PayPal.

USE TRACKING & EXPECT TRACKING

Domestic Shipping using Paypal will always include free tracking. So does EVERY method of Domestic shipping from the Post Office and UPS/FedEx.
  • Just because someone gives you a tracking number, doesn’t mean that the item has been shipped.
  • You can generate a tracking number online without sending anything.
  • If you’re expecting the other party to go first, make sure the package is updated on the USPS website as "package received" and NOT just "shipping information received".
  • Scammers may generate a tracking number for you but never actually ship the item.

THE FAKE PAYPAL INVOICE SCAM

You've agreed to sell an item to a buyer...
The Buyer says - check your e-mail, "Payment" sent".
The Buyer actually sends you an invoice - NOT - payment.
The Scammer will fake a Payment Confirmation... by creating an invoice - and immediately marking it paid.
  • Paypal allows the sender of an Invoice to write whatever they want in the message field. So a scammer may write something like, "You have received a payment from ScammerMcScammerFace. Payments may can take 24-48 hours to appear in your Paypal Account".
  • This may create the illusion that you have received payment when in reality - the Buyer has just created an invoice - sent it to you - and marked it paid immediately.
  • In reality, Paypal Payments normally appear immediately. So check your account... if you don't see any payment - or pending payment - it might be a scam.
  • While Paypal may hold funds - or delay their availability - the transaction almost always shows up in your Paypal Activity immediately.
  • If the user starts to get pushy, playing the victim, calling you a scammer or really doing anything other than saying, "Let me know when the payment shows up"... immediately MESSAGE THE MODS.
  • An exmaple can be seen here: Paypal Invoice Scam

OBVIOUS RED FLAGS

NEW ACCOUNTS
If the account is only hours old, or even a few days old, be on high alert. Not all new accounts are scammers, but I’d bet a very large portion are, ESPECIALLY if they’re asking you to send first.
THE VICTIMS PLEA
“Oh, I’ve been scammed before, so I’m not comfortable sending first” or "I need money quickly to buy _________ (fill in the blank - game on sale, food, medicine, etc)". While this may be true for some people, that's not your problem. If you are inclined to believe them - ask for proof of the scam. When did it happen? How? What was it for? Do they have any confirmed trades? Did they report it? Did they post on /BadKarma?
REQUIRES A NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENT
It’s one thing if someone prefers or asks for gift payments or Amazon/Xbox/Playstation gift cards, but anyone that won’t even give you the option to using Paypal (Goods/Services) is most likely a scammer. The scammer wants you to pay using a source that offers no buyer protection. If you pay for something using any kind of Gift Card of Digital Credit instead of Paypal goods/services, you cannot dispute the payment to reclaim your money if you get scammed... so stop it.
ACCEPTS GOODS/SERVICES, BUT ACCOUNT UNVERFIED
Unverified accounts means Paypal has NO personal information about that user. No Bank Account, No Address. NOTHING. If you are dealing with an Unverified Account - I would exercise caution. While most Unverified Accounts may not be scammers, I may ask that they go first - or walk away if I see other red flags along with their Unverified Status.
ALTERNATE CURRENCIES
Is a user only accepting Amazon gift cards, Digital currencies (bitcoin) or PSN/XBL Credit? Personally - I will NEVER pay for an item with those types of currencies. If the user wants PSN Credit... let them buy it on their own with the money I send them in Paypal. These digital currencies are HIGH RISK items that can not be reclaimed once used.
I NEED YOU TO PAY FIRST SO I CAN AFFORD TO SHIP YOUR ITEM
Don't walk... RUN. If someone doesn’t even have $5 to ship an item to you, you are probably never going to see the item anyway.

RULE AND COMMON COURTESY REMINDERS

NO THREAD CRAPPING
This comes in all shapes and sizes, but it boils down to one thing, if your comment does nothing except hinder another users ability to make a transaction, be it a trade or sale/purchase, it is thread crapping. Using comparison prices in order to negotiate is ok. Asking why in the hell someone thinks they’ll get $25 for a game when it is currently “on sale everywhere for $20” is not. This isn’t just common courtesy – it’s a rule, and for good reason.
REPLY TO ALL OFFERS
And be civil in doing so. We want people to enjoy exchanging games without worrying about aggressive attitudes. It takes less than 5 seconds to reply “no thanks” if you’re not interested in someone’s offer. We have a D.B.A.D. (don't be a dick) rule here for good reason and bans will be handed out to anyone that refuses to treat everyone with respect.
STAY IN CONTACT
We’re all human beings. We all have family, school, work, bills, lives, etc. Shit happens. Things come up. Sometimes delays occur... and that’s okay. Just keep your trade partner informed, and don’t let a delay turn into a non-delivery. Because then you’re gonna have a bad time.
USE THE REPORT FEATURE & SEND A MOD-MESSAGE
There’s no need for you to enforce the rules yourself. If you see a violation of the rules, hit report and enter a reason. These come to us anonymously, though you’re free to put your name in the report if you’d like. If you report something PLEASE also message the moderators if the report requires explanation. If you report a thread and say, "User is a scammer" you HAVE to message us with proof. We want to ban scammers... but we have to have proof. As moderators, we aren’t all on 24/7, and sometimes things will slip past us. We will always rely on the community to help us weed out the bad apples. So hit report, send us a message, but don’t get into a pissing contest over the rules with other users.
As for us, as moderators – our “door” is always open. We try to keep this community nice and make it the spot you want to come to for finding your next game to play or help your collection grow. We are always open to hearing input and ideas from the community so feel free to send them to us. Let us know how we’re doing. Bring concerns to our attention. We’ll do everything that we’re able to do to help out.

Regarding the Venezuelan user that "scammed" people here

Hey, my name is Roy, and I came here to address a delicate subject, I am not a mod, I am just a regular user, living in Venezuela, with just a simple advice; please have some common sense, I am not here to insult you, that is not my intention, the majority of Venezuelans in Reddit are very upset because of this (if you can speak spanish, or you can use google translate please have a read here), and are calling it "Viveza Criolla", we as Venezuelans DO NOT CONDONE this, that was just plain and simple a scam.
Of course with this I am not saying there are no miners in Venezuela being arrested and their miners taken away (https://news.bitcoin.com/venezuelan-bitcoin-miners-bribed-thrown-jail-secret-police/) --- (https://www.marketwatch.com/story/venezuelan-authorities-arrest-4-bitcoin-miners-2017-01-26) --- (https://www.ccn.com/report-two-venezuelans-arrested-mining-bitcoin/), but there are very punctual cases, for example, in the first case two brothers were arrested, but it all happened because they had OVER 90 MINING RIGS.
In November, Venezuela’s secret police raided the house of two brothers in Caracas and found more than 90 mining terminals. The agents demanded $1,000 in bribes for each machine, according to the brothers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they fear arrest. The brothers said they paid the bribes to stay in business.
On the second report, the guys had over 300 mining rigs, they had a whole hangar for them
Authorities confiscated 300 mining terminals, according to photos published on Rico’s Instagram account, Criptonoticias reported. The models included Antminer S4s, produced by Beijing-based Bitmain, and SP31 Yukons, manufactured by Israel-based Spondoolies.
On the third one, they don't state how many miners were seized but you can presume they were a lot of them
With the arrests, authorities also seized mining machines as well as four laptops.
The two bitcoin miners are awaiting prosecution at Tribunal Séptimo de Control, or the Seventh Control Court in Carabobo.
I can also tell you that the government takes these machines they seize and put them to work for them
None of the low time miners have been arrested, specially because here in Venezuela, there is absolutely NO CONTROL of the electricity consumption(which is their excuse everytime they make one of these busts, truth is, there is always someone slipping, or saying something to someone else, then it all goes from there), I can tell you for experience that none of the low time miners have been arrested and their machines seized, I have several friends up to 10 mining rigs and none of them have even been disturbed by the police, also, why was this guy's machines taken away but he was not arrested?
I am sorry I am getting off track here, about the common sense, please just look at this guys history. it's full of red flags
He claims Venezuela minimum wage is only 20$ (which was real at that time) and might make you think, oh dude, this guy is poor.
But a little over 6 months later he was trading his PSN and Amazon cards for paypal, again this is not an indication of any wrongdoing, but for a normal Venezuelan, a year ago $100, was a lot of money.
Up from there, he trades a lot of money in gifts cards, (again for a Venezuelan more than $100 is a lot of money)
He then goes to mining Ether with his rig and then he says another red flag in his post he says that he doesnt pay for electricity
After that he goes dark for like 6 months, then 14 days ago he posts this: "my dad stop giving me money for college in my first year, had to start making money by my self, still no car but I made it to the last year, but I live in Venezuela so I can't afford public transport anymore to college so he can't afford money for transportation yet recently he claimed that he has 1000$ in crypto?
Just so you know, many Venezuelans with real problems are trying to leave the country and believe me, $1000 can buy you a plane ticket, in first class. To leave the country by land in a bus to Ecuador can costs you $250
These are the prices I collected when I first started making plans to leave but they have increased since, not by much, but is still an approximate
Then 4 days ago in an assistance thread he claims that he is migrating to Chile and he has not much money
Here comes the part where he was asking for advice deciding if he should buy Antminers S2 or trade but when Gasset told him to go to charities subreddit, he posted in vzla saying "How do you manage to not kill yourself" or http://prntscr.com/i4rdc8 (in case he decides to delete it).
Also, worth nothing in the thread about killing himself he says that he is "tired of the creole' cleverness", or Viveza Criolla as said early.
AND THEN!!! Comes the big one, suddenly 14 hours ago "Police came to his house and took his miners" also, worth nothing that in his comment he says that police said they knew because of his "electricity consumption", (again HUGE red flag), or a neighbor told someone, this, while (if real) is the most likely scenario, why in the world anyone mining BTC would even tell anyone that you have miners? in a country were police is arresting miners. (Of course not for one second I believe he had them, he would be in handcuffs)
Of course he then goes to contradict himself all over, saying things like "He was planning to sell his rig for $1000 to go to chile
Then when someone gives him a tip (reddit is down i can't see how much he got) He says "You didn't have to!" (Oh poor you, you mother*****) (Sorry I am pissed off right now)
And then all hell breaks loose from then on.
As I said earlier, there are Venezuelans in real need to leave the country, and even $200 can help them leave.
Before donating to any random redditor (not only Venezuelans) please check his post history, check if his story adds up.
There was recently the case of a guy from Venezuela saying he was waiting for donations to help other Venezuelans (https://www.reddit.com/userandomizerdude that created the website https://helpvenezuelans.com/), he received 1 btc, and he vanished, his last post was from a month ago. now, those 17k could have helped a LOT of people to eat, or simply leave their country
Or better yet, if you want to help Venezuelans, donate to a Venezuelan charity https://raymasuprani.com/mas-is-more-foundation/ This one is one of the bests (there are other, it's 3 am here sorry)
I suggest you please take a second and have a little common sense.
Thank you and so sorry for ranting here, as I said, there are Venezuelans with real needs and real problems out there.
I also hope you don't label ALL Venezuelans as scammers because of one rotten apple.
Again, thank you. If you have any questions I am happy to answer, also I am sure many Venezuelans will come here to express their opinion.
