Buying an ASIC, cheap power

Good day all,
If I have access to (very) cheap solar power, and have the funds, does it make sense to to buy an ASIC? If so which one is recommended? the https://cointerra.com/product/terraminer-iv-1-6-ths-bitcoin-mine looks nice but I'm not sure what's best.
Thanks,

Thinking about buying from ActiveMining, their prices seem the most competitive

Prices for fully loaded units, no expansion modules: Silver - 6.66$/GH , total, $2,559.60 Gold - 7.44$/GH, total, $5,719.60 Platinum - 5.29$/GH, total, $130,239.20
They seem that will be shipping by the end of october and begining of november.
Also after seeing this news,

it got me pretty excited for those 28mn chips...
thinking about getting this one:

Is this card worth it?

Is this card worth investing? Using a calculator it says that running this card will pay for itself in 4 days. It seems to good to be true. Can you give me a veteran opinion? Products.butterflylabs.com/homepage-new-products/1-th-bitcoin-miner.html

Looking to upgrade and wanting to see how much I could possibly make a month.

Hey everyone,
Been saving up for quite some time now and I have about 10k available and was looking at some prebuilt equipment to upgrade with. I currently am running my x4 R9 280X and basically want to out perform it greatly! I've seen this pop up a few times: https://cointerra.com/product/terraminer-iv-1-6-ths-bitcoin-mine and was wondering is it worth it? I want to buy two of them but I also need to know how much I will make per month with it on bitcoin and litecoin. Also this is my first premade system I would buy so if you think its not worth it please let me know.
Basically I want to make a pretty good profit of course with these but need some advice. Its estimated to run at 2100 watts each an here its 0.15 kWh USD. So what do you guys think? Have any advice or maybe even better builds? Can someone maybe show me some numbers because I am using the calculators but they seem to be way off so I know I'm doing something wrong haha.
Is it obvious that my little hobby has turn into an addiction to mine more and see if I can make more? xD

I have a few questions on renting a bitcoin miner that I was hoping you guys could answer seeming as I'm a complete noob

I want to invest some of my pocket money into bitcoin mining and hopefully return a profit or at the very least experiment with renting a miner.
So here are my questions:
  1. What is the minimum amount you have to pay on average to rent a single bitcoin miner?
  2. Will my return profit increase exponentially if I rent more than one miner at a time?
  3. Is it possible to buy a miner from a company and have it run forever at their location?
  4. Is the currency I get from mining come as a cryptocurrency or "real-life currency"?
  5. How long should I rent a miner to return a decent profit?
  6. Which are the best websites to rent a miner from that gives me a decent selection, good user interface and is the most reliable?
  7. Does the bitcoin miners location matter?
Sorry if those are too many questions, I just want to get everything clarified before I begin
Also what is the unit "TH"? I keep seeing that pop-up
BTW I live in the UK if the location does matter

Newbie Help

So I'm getting an RTX 3080 from Nvidia and that has a hashrate of 75 MH/s but on eBay how come I can buy a USB Bitcoin Miner ( GekkoScience Newpac USB Bitcoin Miner ) for £55 and get 28 GH/s which equates to £450 per day in terms of etherium currency (at the current price). I'm pretty sure this is too good to be true? Am I right? There are several others similar to this such as renting a 250 TH/s mining setup for 24 hours for only £40 but with the 250 TH/s you could make £4.6k per day. I am very confused...

USB 3 to PCI Riser vs Thunderbolt 3 PCI Adapter for connecting to SAS storage?

I’m thinking of building some large storage, in what is probably an incredibly convoluted and unnecessary way. But I’m still thinking about it, so I’m going to ask some questions. (Although, if they’re better suited to a PC building sub, I will move there.)
I’ve been looking at IStarUSA and their lovely cases. I have one for my gaming PC and I love it. I want to start building large amounts of storage for Plex, mirrored backup for personal media like family photos, and possibly networked gaming storage (over 10G wired network).
So let’s consider this lovely case. I can get 12 drives in. Rock on. The backplane is a Mini-SAS port. I’m thinking something like this for Plex. Maybe a four bay version for personal stuff and backups. And some kind of mirrored M.2 craziness for game storage.
But what if I want to control each of these with a computer that has neither a Mini-SAS port, nor a PCI slot that I could install a Mini-SAS card in to. Yes, I’m being super stubborn here.
What if, instead, I wanted to use one of these USB to PCI adapters? Or what if I wanted to use a Thunderbolt 3 enclosure with a Mini-SAS card inside it.
USB 3.1 Gen 2 hits 10Gbps, and Thunderbolt 3 goes up to 40Gbps. And then I’d have at least one 10Gbps Ethernet port, or maybe even attach a dual 10Gbps SFP+ NIC over a riser or Thunderbolt.
I assume there will be overhead on the USB 3 riser option that wouldn’t be there less noticeable on a Thunderbolt 3 option because of the extra throughput. But even 70% usability would be a good start. I have to assume they did alright for all the Bitcoin miners using them.
Again, I know I’m being a little crazy here. And I know when you start stringing adapters on adapters on adapters things get odd real quick. Despite that, I’m considering it. I’m not going to ask how crazy it is, I’m only going to ask if you think it would work.
